A Basel, Switzerland Family Feature
Our first apartment in Basel, Switzerland was a stones throw from the Rhine, blocks from the Munsterplatz and and easy 10 minute walk to Marktplatz. It was brilliant! As our family grew, our apartment shrunk and we found ourselves moving to the Burbs and into a new neighbourhood. So now when I head to this spot along the Rhein, it reminds me of our early years in Basel and brings back so many special memories of our old stomping ground.
Caroline and Jimmy moved here a year ago and quickly fell in love with Switzerland too. We had an amazing evening walking along the Rhein from Breite to St Albans as the sun glowed on us during a spectacular golden hour. It was so lovely to be down by the Rhein on one of the last warm Sundays of 2017. And it made me think that I don’t bring the boys down here enough to explore and throw stones into the water. We finished our session outside the SBB train station (which is hugely underrate in my opinion!), taking photos amongst the weekend crowds returning to the city before Monday. I really felt like this session not only captured the special bond this family has, but also how much they love being here in Basel.
