A Swiss Alp Adventure
It’s no secret that I am quite sentimental about Switzerland. We try to get out and see as much of this country as possible. The Swiss Alps are spectacular and the Lauterbrunnen valley is one of our go to spots. Once again it did not disappoint!
Hilary is a photographer based in Seattle. She reached out to me two weeks prior to her anniversary trip to Switzerland to see if I would photograph her and her husband, I totally jumped at the chance! On their first trip ever to Switzerland they of course wanted to see it all, but given where they were staying it was a no brainer to hit the Lauterbrunnen valley again.
We began our day meeting up on the train platform in Interlaken before taking the train up to Lauterbrunnen. We then continued onto Wengen where we were planning to take the gondola to Männlichen. However the lift was still not open for the season and after a quick discussion, we realised the walk back down to the valley floor would provide us with plenty of stunning views along the way. The walk was only an hour and was easy enough that I think my three year old could probably do it unassisted. It’s also buggy friendly for all of you parents with kiddos still in strollers!
Once back on the valley floor we high tailed up across the road from the station to the Gondola and mountain rail to Mürren. When we arrived at the station the look on Hilary and Brighton’s faces as they took in the scale of the Alps from Mürren was priceless!!
From Mürren, The Swiss Alps are breathtaking and enjoyable for families of all ages!
I realise how super lucky we are to have this scenery on our back doorstep, and I plan on making the most of it in my photo shoots! If you’ve been dying to really capture the essence of your time here in Switzerland, go ahead and contact me, I’m all in!
